True North operates two passenger vessels for trips across Kachemak Bay. We can take you kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, berry picking, to yurts, camping on the beach, or on a scenic wildlife tour around the bay. Exciting adventures abound across the bay. We can take you to Jakolof Dock for mountain biking and to many trailheads for out-and-back hikes/runs or point-to-point hikes/runs.
The Bonnie Ann
Do you have a large group? One of only a few water taxis in Kachemak Bay that can service larger groups, The Bonnie Ann is an 18-passenger USCG certified boat with a drop down ladder off the bow.

HIKING & TRAIL RUNNING
You can water taxi to many different hikes and runs. Here are some of our favorites:
- Glacier Spit to the Saddle Trail is a minimum of four hours dock to dock (includes water taxi time). This takes you to Glacier Lake and views of the Grewingk Glacier and is a total of 3 miles. Miles can be added on by going to the tram over Grewingk Creek and/or up Alpine Ridge on the way to the Saddle Trail.
- Humpy Creek to the Saddle Trail is a great trail run without too many big hills. This is about 6 miles with a detour up to Glacier Lake.
- Grace Ridge traverse or up and back from Kayak Beach on a fabulous rugged hike with 3,200 feet of elevation gain. The traverse is 9.5 miles and is for the very fit and adventurous.
If you’d like a naturalist guide to accompany you, the fee is $125/day.
